Happy April! I can’t believe how chilly it still is here in Utah. What I can believe, however, is the unbelievable talent all of our readers have! It’s such a pleasure being able to view your layouts in the Club CK idea galleries. Your layouts are always fun and inspiring, and they always brighten my day when I’m browsing for layouts or looking for inspiration when creating my own projects.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out all of the beautiful layouts in the Club CK gallery, make sure you do! You won’t be disappointed!

Club CK Image Gallery, Creating Keepsakes

Today, I need your help picking the layout in this month’s Readers’ Pick Poll that will be featured in the October 2010 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine. It’s as easy as going to our You Be the Judge voting page, voting for your favorite, and doing it as many times that you want—there is no limit to how many times you can vote! Check back later this month to see if your favorite layout won.

In the June issue of Creating Keepsakes, we focus on your most-scrapped topics, with a reader gallery full of awesome layout inspiration.

brittanyb-headshot-smDo you have scrapbook pages along the following themes? If so, we’d like to see them for publication consideration for a future issue!

Lake and River Trips

We’re looking for your creative layouts that document a trip to a river or lake. Whether you visited a river or lake to fish, swim, boat, kayak, camp or simply enjoy the majestic beauty, we’d love to see your pages on water-related activities. Note: Layouts about visits to water parks and the beach will not be considered for this call.

Two-page, multiphoto layouts with color photos are preferred, though any layouts or mini albums may be submitted.

Please e-mail scans or photos of your layouts to editorial@creatingkeepsakes.com and include “lakes and rivers” in the subject line. Please send each layout submission in a separate e-mail and make sure the file size is 500k or less. The deadline for this call is Saturday, March 28.

Back-to-School Layouts-Telling Your Child’s Story

While you’ve likely created back-to-school layouts almost every year, have you ever thought to include journaling from someone else’s perspective? If so, then we’d love to see your pages! We’re looking for back-to-school themed layouts on everything from buying school supplies to choosing the right outfit to meeting the teacher(s) and loading the school bus. The KEY is that we want the journaling on these pages to be from the perspective of your children. Ask them questions, let them fill out a “quiz,” or simply have them share their favorite memories from back-to-school time. But let them do the talking while you design your layouts. We can’t wait to see what the you and your children come up with together!

Two-page, multiphoto layouts with color photos are preferred, though any layouts or mini albums may be submitted.

Please e-mail scans or photos of your layouts to editorial@creatingkeepsakes.com and include “back to school” in the subject line. Please send each layout submission in a separate e-mail and make sure the file size is 500k or less. The deadline for this call is Thursday, April 2.

We look forward to seeing your pages.

Happy scrapping!

Wanted: Your Amazing Pages

megan_headshot-sm6Just as you’re planning your spring wardrobe, we’re already planning our issues for sweater weather. And we want our October 2009 issue to feature your amazing pages! Yep, we’re planning a special section in this issue to showcase stellar, knock-your-socks-off pages. Do you have a layout (or six or more) that fits this description? Do you know of another scrapbooker whose scrapbook designs fit this description? If so, we want to see them. From the stunning pages received, the CK editorial team will select an assortment to be featured in this special section.

This section will replace the usual spots we set aside for Hall of Fame and Scrapbooker of the Year contest winners, since these contests are on hiatus this year. But we didn’t want that to stop us from finding and showcasing fresh talent and amazing pages. Don’t let it stop you from submitting either.

Here’s how:

*Submit as many times as you wish from now until May 10, 2009.

*Please send up to two images (not to exceed 500 KB) of never-before-seen amazing scrapbook pages per email message to AmazingPages@CreatingKeepsakes.com.

*Put “Amazing Pages” in the subject line.

We look forward to seeing your amazing pages!
